The glass bottle (medicine bottle) with a matte surface and safety cap is a professional packaging component designed for precise and safe dispensing of liquid preparations. Thanks to the durable glass, it is ideal for filling sensitive formulations that require packaging stability, protection from external influences, and comfortable use in both home and professional production.
The matte glass supports the product’s premium appearance and at the same time helps to partially protect the contents from light, which is especially appreciated by formulations containing oils, active ingredients, or aromatic components. The safety cap with child-resistant feature reduces the risk of unintentional opening and makes this medicine bottle a reliable packaging for a wide range of cosmetic and supplementary products.
This glass bottle is a standalone packaging component that is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options available in the Handymade range – depending on the selected parameters it can be combined with screw caps, dropper inserts, pipettes, spray pumps or practical applicators. Packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

The glass bottle is commonly used for formulations containing essential oils, since glass is a material with high chemical stability. When working with concentrated essential oils, however, we recommend always testing the specific blend in a smaller quantity, monitoring the behaviour of the closure and seal, and verifying the long-term stability of the product under real storage conditions.
The packaging can be reused provided that strict hygiene rules are followed. Before each refilling, the bottle and the cap must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. In the Handymade range you will find, for example, the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable, which are suitable for disinfecting packaging before refilling. After disinfection, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature.
We recommend storing the contents of the glass medicine bottle in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations. Although the matte surface helps to limit light penetration compared to clear glass, for sensitive formulations (for example those containing oxidatively unstable oils or active ingredients) it is advisable to enhance the protection by storing them in a closed cabinet or box. When handling the bottle, make sure the cap is tightened firmly to reduce the risk of oxidation and contamination of the product.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting regulations. Empty the glass part of the packaging, remove any product residues and place it in the glass container specified by the system used in your municipality. The closure and any inserts belong in the appropriate container according to the material indicated in the product specifications on the Handymade website. If in doubt, follow the general recommendations for waste sorting in your region so that the materials can be recycled efficiently.
