FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this glass bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the container can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray mechanism must be thoroughly washed, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable disinfectant, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection we recommend the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Refill the bottle only after the alcohol has completely dried and ventilated.

How should the glass bottle with spray be properly cleaned before further use?

First empty the bottle and rinse it with warm water and a mild cleaning agent to remove residues of the original product. Flush the spray mechanism several times by pumping clean water through the nozzle. Then we recommend disinfecting the inner part and the sprayer using alcohol (IPA or ethanol), pumping the alcohol through the atomizer as well. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly at room temperature in a clean place and only then refill.

For which types of products is the spray glass bottle most suitable?

This bottle is particularly suitable for aqueous or low-viscosity preparations that are applied by fine spraying. These include, for example, hydrolats, facial toners, face and body refreshers, light perfume mists, air fresheners or textile sprays. We always recommend testing the behaviour of the specific formulation in a small amount, checking the uniformity of spraying and ensuring that no deposits or particles remain in the spray system that could clog the nozzle.

How should the glass bottle be properly recycled if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the container, we recommend recycling it according to the type of materials. Place the glass part of the bottle, after removing product residues, into the container intended for glass. The spray mechanism is usually made of plastic and belongs in sorted plastic waste in accordance with local recycling rules. Before recycling, it is advisable to separate the individual parts as much as possible (glass separately, plastic separately), thereby supporting more efficient waste processing.
