Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly, provided that you observe basic hygiene rules and take care of the packaging. Before each refilling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example using the products IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % intended for technical disinfection. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, let the packaging dry thoroughly so that the alcohol residues do not affect the properties of your final formulation.

When cleaning the bottle, we recommend using lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent adapted to the type of contamination and the formulation used. Avoid using very hot water and aggressive chemicals that could affect the properties of the plastic or the sealing elements of the sprayer. If the packaging is made of PET material, do not expose it to high temperatures, do not boil it and do not wash it in a dishwasher, in order to avoid deformation. After washing, we recommend rinsing the packaging with distilled or demineralized water and then disinfecting it with an alcohol solution, which should be left to evaporate freely.

The spray packaging is most suitable for low- to medium-viscosity liquid products, such as water-based and hydrolat solutions, toners, hair lotions, light emulsion sprays or alcohol blends (for example air fresheners or disinfectant sprays). For very thick emulsions or gel formulations, spraying may be ineffective or uneven. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils or alcohol, we always recommend testing compatibility in advance – checking whether there are changes to the sealing, hardening or conversely softening of the plastic parts of the sprayer.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly in accordance with the information given in the product parameters. In the parameter table you will find information about the type of material and the relevant recycling symbol. Before handing it over for separate collection, it is advisable to empty the packaging and remove any product residues. Depending on their composition, the bottle and sprayer can be placed in the appropriate plastic container or separated into individual parts if required by local recycling rules. Correct sorting of the material into separate waste streams increases the efficiency of the recycling process and reduces the environmental burden.
