Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle and the spray pump in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. After disinfection, let all parts dry thoroughly at room temperature.
When using a plastic bottle with a spray pump, it is important that the chosen formulation is suitable for the given type of plastic and the dosing mechanism. Avoid mixtures that are too thick or highly oily, which could clog the spray pump. Do not expose the packaging to prolonged direct sunlight or significant temperature fluctuations, in order to maintain the stability of the material and the contents. We recommend preparing a smaller test batch and checking the behaviour of the product in the packaging over several days to weeks.
If spraying becomes uneven or the jet narrows, it is possible that the nozzle or the dip tube is clogged. In such a case, unscrew the spray pump, rinse it several times with warm water and, if necessary, with alcohol suitable for disinfection. After rinsing, let all parts dry completely and only then put them back on the bottle. For more viscous formulations, we recommend regular cleaning to prevent gradual deposition of components in the mechanism.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend sorting it correctly according to the material specified in the product parameters in the table on the page. Before placing it in sorted collection, empty the bottle and rinse out any product residues. The plastic bottle is usually thrown into the plastic container; for the spray mechanism, the same container can be used if the composition of the plastic corresponds to the data in the parameters. In the case of combined materials, it is advisable to follow the manufacturer’s recommendation and local waste sorting rules.
