The glass bottle is a professional packaging solution for high-quality cosmetic and artisan products, with an emphasis on clean lines, practical handling, and reliable closing using a plastic cap with safety lock. The smooth inner surface of the glass facilitates filling and dosing of liquid preparations, minimizes residue retention, and supports long-term stable conditions for the stored contents. The packaging is ideal for smaller batches of products, samples, travel sizes, or concentrated formulations where precise and safe closure is important.
The standalone glass bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dosing methods, such as screw caps, droppers, spray pumps, or practical applicators, according to the parameters selected in the Handymade offer. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing, and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to ensure that the packaging works reliably with your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, its environmentally friendly disposal by recycling is recommended, according to the recommendations given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Correct sorting into the appropriate container for segregated waste is based on the material from which the packaging is made (glass and plastic cap must be sorted separately according to local rules).
Yes, the bottle can be reused if hygienic principles are observed. However, before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. In this way, you minimize the risk of microbial contamination and of affecting the stability of the new batch of product.
After emptying, first mechanically remove any product residues, then rinse the bottle with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. After complete drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface and the closure with an alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. Before filling, make sure that no cleaning agent residues or moisture remain in the packaging, as these could affect the stability of the formulation being prepared.
If you do not plan to reuse the bottle and cap, it is recommended to recycle them according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass part should usually be placed in the container designated for glass and the plastic cap in the container for plastic, following local waste-sorting rules. Before placing them in the separate collection container, it is advisable to rinse the packaging to remove product residues, so as not to complicate the recycling process and to maintain the cleanliness of the remaining waste.
The bottle is most suitable for liquid and medium-viscosity preparations, such as serums, solutions, tinctures, or oil blends. With very thick gels or paste-like products, handling and dosing may be more difficult, so in such cases a wider opening is more practical, for example in the form of a jar or another suitable container. When choosing a specific packaging, take into account the consistency of the product and the preferred mode of application.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars, or pots). In the advanced filter you can sort packaging according to several parameters, such as neck type and size, total volume or size, colour, and material. Thanks to this, you can quickly find bottles, medicine bottles, or containers that will match the consistency of your product, the desired dosing, and the visual design.
