Yes, the packaging can be reused provided it is handled correctly and hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, both the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This will minimise the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of your formulations.

The plastic packaging made of PET material is not suitable for exposure to high temperatures. When heated, undesirable deformation of the bottle and the spray pump may occur, which can affect sealing and dosing functionality. For this reason, washing in a dishwasher or boiling is not recommended. For cleaning and disinfection, it is suitable to use mechanical washing with lukewarm water and a mild detergent, followed by disinfection with alcohol according to the raw material manufacturer’s recommendations.

Before filling, make sure that both the bottle and the spray pump are clean and disinfected. Fill only formulations with suitable viscosity – products that are too thick may limit the functionality of the spray pump and change the character of the mist. At first use, the spray pump needs to be pressed several times so that the system fills up and starts dosing evenly. For long-term storage, we recommend storing the packaging in an upright position and checking after each use that the closure is tightly screwed on.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle with spray pump, we recommend recycling it according to the material information given in the product parameter table. Before handing it over for recycling, empty the packaging and rinse out any product residues. The bottle body made of PET material usually belongs in the container intended for plastics, and it is advisable to separate the individual parts (bottle and head) if the local waste collection system allows it. Adjust the exact method of sorting to the rules in your region and to the recommendations given with the product.
