Clear plastic jar with black lid represents a practical and versatile solution for packaging creamy, gel-based as well as loose products. Thanks to the transparent body of the container, you have visual control over the contents, while the darker lid looks professional and helps maintain a clean, compact appearance of the packaging. The stable construction of the jar ensures convenient handling during both manual and automated filling and reliable closure during storage and transport.
This container is supplied as a complete jar with lid, so there is no need to purchase closures separately. Packaging and closure combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to verify the behaviour of the particular product over time.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the jar can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, however, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and degradation of the contents.
Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically rinsing the jar, removing any dust and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation. After applying the disinfectant (for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based), it is important to allow the inner surface to dry completely. Only then should you fill the jar, to minimise the risk of compromising the stability of the final product.
With its compact shape, the jar is very suitable for travel sizes and for everyday carrying in a handbag or backpack. We always recommend, however, performing a sealing test with the specific type of filling – especially with very liquid or oily formulations. During transport, place the jar so that it is not exposed to excessive pressure and impacts, thereby minimising the risk of opening or damaging the container.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend first emptying it and removing any product residues. Then adjust the method of recycling according to the material indicated in the parameter table on the product page on Handymade.sk – depending on the type of plastic, sort it into the appropriate plastic container according to local regulations. The lid and the body of the packaging may be made of different materials, so always check the marking and, if necessary, separate the individual parts. In this way, you support efficient waste processing in the recycling process.
When selecting suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter, products can be conveniently sorted according to several parameters – for example by neck type, size, colour or material. Thanks to this, you can quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that best matches your formulation, brand design and practical use requirements.
The jar performs best with thicker and semi-solid formulations where more direct pick-up with fingers or a spatula is desired – typically with creams, balms, butters, ointments or scrubs. For very thin, liquid products, a bottle with a dispenser or dropper may be more practical, as it enables more precise application and limits the contact of the contents with air and skin during use.
