Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper closure must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected. To disinfect the inner surface of the packaging, we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available in the Handymade range: IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Allow the disinfectant to act, then let the packaging dry completely and only then fill it with a new product.

The bottle is ideal for thicker and thinner liquid formulations where precise dosing drop by drop or in a small amount is required. In practice, it is used mainly for facial and hair oils, serum with active substances, oil perfumes, aromatherapeutic blends and concentrated extracts intended for further processing in cosmetics. Thanks to the dropper, it is also suitable for testing new recipes where dosing of smaller volumes is required during product development.

Before repeated use, it is advisable to first clean the bottle and dropper mechanically – for example with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent that is compatible with the previous contents. It is then necessary to rinse the packaging with clean water and allow the remaining water to drain off. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry completely at room temperature in a clean place protected from dust. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for new filling.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition stated in the product parameters on the Handymade website. The glass part of the bottle can usually be sorted into the appropriate glass container after thorough emptying and a rough rinse to remove product residues. The dropper is composed of a combination of several materials (plastic, rubber and possibly metal parts), so it generally cannot be recycled as a single-material fraction and in such a case must be disposed of in mixed waste, unless the local sorting system allows separation of the individual components. Always adapt the specific sorting method to the information in the product parameters and the waste collection rules in your municipality.
