The plastic jar is a practical and versatile type of packaging suitable for filling various cosmetic and craft preparations with a thicker or semi-liquid consistency. Thanks to its rigid walls and high-quality plastic material, the jar is stable during handling, protects the contents well and enables convenient dispensing even with frequent opening and closing. It is reliably suitable for packaging products that require hygienic, lightweight and mechanically resistant packaging without unnecessarily increasing the weight of the final product.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test – verify the sealing, the behaviour of the closure during handling and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products with a higher proportion of oils, acids or alcohol).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the jar is designed as a practical cosmetic packaging and is suitable for various types of preparations such as creams, butters, scrubs or hair masks. When producing the final product, we always recommend performing your own stability test to verify how your specific formulation behaves in contact with the plastic used during long-term storage.
The jar can be reused if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol available in the Handymade range (IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol, Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based). After complete drying, the jar can be used again for the same type of product, and it is advisable to avoid mixing different product categories in the same container.
We recommend storing filled jars in a dry place, at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight or sources of heat. This reduces the risk of changes in consistency, coagulation or phase separation in the product. Always close the packaging carefully to limit access of air, moisture and impurities, which helps to extend the shelf life and maintain the sensory properties of the preparation.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend first using up the contents as far as possible and thoroughly emptying it of any product residues. Adjust the method of recycling to the material specified in the product parameters in the Handymade online shop – according to this, assign the jar to the appropriate type of sorted waste (for example to plastic). Always follow the local recycling rules in your municipality and do not throw the jar into mixed waste if a collection container for the relevant material is available.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter you can clearly set the required parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. This allows you to easily narrow down the offer only to packaging that corresponds to your formulation, design and the intended method of dispensing.
