Product description

Virgin bacuri butter (Bacuri Virgin butter) comes from wild harvests from the Amazon rainforests in Brazil. It is obtained from the seeds of the fruit of the plant Platonia Insignis. It is a solid butter of dark brown colour with a characteristic herbal scent. Melting point: 35 °C.

It is rich in methionine, an essential amino acid that is the primary source of sulphur in the body. It helps with skin problems and supports the growth of hair and nails. It helps to stabilise the production of collagen and elastin, therefore it is a suitable choice for formulations for mature skin.

It has antibacterial and antifungal effects. It is also used for the treatment of wounds and scars. Thanks to its distinctly dark colour, it also colours cosmetic products and can be used in creams and body butters to achieve a golden skin tone. It is an ideal ingredient in the production of anti-ageing creams, massage oils, creams against stretch marks, for body butters and balms, hair masks and conditioners. 

This product does not contain any of the 26 allergens from the 7th amending and supplementing proposal to the European Union (EU) Cosmetics Directive - Annex III.
