Kombo butter is made by traditional pressing from the nuts of the Pycnanhus Angloliensis tree, which is most widespread in the African state of Ghana. It is also called the African nutmeg, due to its beautiful spicy nutty aroma. The butter is rich in fatty acids, especially myristic acid (up to 75%).
It is therefore commonly used in the treatment of joints and muscles. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and is used to treat burns, scars and wounds. When applied to the skin, it brings relief to dry, cracked and scaly skin.
