Product description

Cupuacu butter is obtained from the fruits of the tropical tree Theoroma grandiflorum and is an excellent substitute for cocoa butter (cocoa butter is produced from the true cacao tree Theobroma cacao). Whereas cocoa butter is hard and its rich dark-chocolate aroma immediately stimulates your taste buds as well.

Cupuacu also smells like chocolate, but the scent is greener, fresher and more penetrating. It is more of a hint of chocolate. It is a solid butter of creamy colour with a characteristic scent. It comes from wild harvesting in the Amazon rainforests, the butter is cold-pressed without any processing.

Cupuacu butter is also called “vegetable lanolin” thanks to its very high water absorption capacity (200% more than lanolin), it retains water in a volume of up to 240% of its own weight. Therefore this butter helps moisture penetrate into low-porosity hair (excellent in hair masks and conditioning shampoos).

It contains a range of phytosterols that have an anti-inflammatory effect, scavenge free radicals and help active components penetrate into the skin. It also softens the skin and helps restore its natural moisture and elasticity.

It is excellent in skin care, in body butters and creams, and is very popular for application around the eyes and lips – lip balms, lipsticks.

Melting point: 30–32 °C, does not contain any allergens from the mandatory-declaration allergens.

More detailed information about the product quality can be found in the certificate, which we update with each new batch.
