Shea butter, also known as shea butter, is made from the nuts of the African Shea tree. It is refined, so it has undergone a process in which it has been stripped of its fragrance and colour.

Due to its content of vitamins A, E, F and minerals, it is the most popular ingredient in natural cosmetics. It prevents the signs of ageing and regenerates damaged skin. It improves blood circulation in the tissues and accelerates healing. Ideal for the treatment of skin allergies, eczema, cracked and thickened skin. Contains natural UV factor 6, so can be included in sunscreens. Increases the skin's defences.

It protects against infections and external weather influences such as frost and wind. It helps to fight stretch marks. Suitable for pregnant women and sensitive baby skin. Not suitable for people with nut allergies.

Butter can be used to make creams, soaps, body lotions, conditioners and balms.
