The glass bottle with black-gold spray pump represents an elegant and practical packaging for liquid formulations where even and fine dosing is important. It is particularly suitable for packaging cosmetic preparations, aromatherapeutic blends and other products for which you will appreciate convenient application in the form of a spray.
The dark glass of the bottle also helps protect the more sensitive contents from undesirable light exposure, which is advantageous for products with natural active ingredients. The spray pump enables comfortable, hygienic and economical dosing without the need for the fingers to come into contact with the contents, which supports longer stability of the carefully prepared formula.
This packaging is supplied as a bottle with spray pump, and the packaging and closure combinations created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test – focus especially on sealing, consistent dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, content of alcohol, oils or acidic components).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Glass is in general a very stable and resistant packaging material that is suitable for most cosmetic formulations, including hydrolat-based preparations and formulas containing alcohol. However, it is recommended to always carry out your own small compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of the product, observe the behaviour of the contents and the functionality of the spray pump, and only then prepare a larger batch.
The bottle can, if hygiene principles are observed, be safely used repeatedly. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly, rinse it and then disinfect it with a suitable alcoholic solution (for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol). For disinfection you can use products available in the Handymade range, such as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and the spray pump to dry completely and only then refill them.
First empty the bottle and rinse it with warm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for laboratory glass or kitchen utensils. You can wash the glass body of the packaging by hand, or, at your own discretion, choose a cleaning method corresponding to the type of formulation used. We recommend rinsing the spray pump with lukewarm water by drawing clean water into it and pressing the pump several times so that the inner tube is flushed through. After washing, it is advisable to disinfect both parts with an alcoholic solution and let them dry completely on a clean, non-fibrous surface.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle and the spray pump, it is recommended to recycle them properly according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle is usually sorted into a glass container after cleaning, and the plastic or metal parts of the spray pump are sorted according to the recommendations resulting from the material marking and local waste collection rules. Before discarding, empty the packaging and remove any product residues so that the recycling stream is not contaminated.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the packaging material category. After clicking on the selected category, you will find the filter at the top of the page, where you can clearly select the parameters you need – for example the type of neck, the desired size, colour or material of the packaging. This allows you to quickly narrow down the offer only to bottles, vials, jars or pots that will best suit the specific formula or the intended method of application.
