Can this bottle with pump be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispensing pump must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or with denatured plant ethanol. This reduces the risk of microbial contamination and helps maintain the stability of the repeatedly filled product.

How should the bottle be properly cleaned and prepared before first use?

Before the first filling, we recommend rinsing the packaging with a suitable cleaning solution, then with clean water and allowing it to dry thoroughly. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the inner space of the bottle and the parts of the dispensing pump that come into contact with the product with an alcohol-based preparation containing isopropyl or ethanol. You can use, for example, products available on Handymade, such as IPA 99 % or ethanol 96 % denatured. After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging can be safely filled.

Is this bottle also suitable for thicker or gel products?

The dispensing pump is intended primarily for liquid and slightly viscous preparations, such as lighter emulsions, milks or gels. For thicker formulations, we recommend carrying out a trial filling to verify whether the pump dispenses the product smoothly and without clogging. In the case of very viscous creams, another type of dispensing, such as a tube or jar, which you can find in the relevant categories on Handymade, may be more suitable.

How can I correctly recycle the bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend that after emptying and basic rinsing you place it in sorted waste according to the type of material specified in the product parameters. Before placing it in the container, it is advisable to separate the plastic bottle from the dispensing pump and follow the local rules for waste sorting. By recycling correctly, you reduce the amount of waste and enable the reprocessing of the used packaging material.
