The wooden wick consists of one piece of wooden wick and one metal base, which serves to hold and, if necessary, to glue the wick to the bottom of the container.

ATTENTION! Very important for the correct burning of the candle is that the wick should be shortened to a length of 0.5–0.6 cm before the first lighting.

You choose the correct wick size according to the type of wax and the candle diameter:

Vegetable waxes blends with soy: .03 Booster wick, .01 spiral

TROUBLESHOOTING

The wick burns briefly at the beginning and then goes out
This problem occurs when the initial wick length before the first lighting of the candle is incorrect. The wick needs to be shortened to approximately 0.5 cm (sometimes even less), as recommended, and a burn test should be carried out again. If the shape of the container does not allow shortening the wick, we recommend topping up the candle with wax to the required height. Between individual burning periods of the candle it is necessary to remove the burnt parts from the wick.

The wick should crackle, but it does not crackle
You have purchased a crackling wick (crackling), which, however, crackles weakly or not at all during burning. In this case, the colorants or fragrances used may be to blame. Try making a candle from pure wax and test the crackling again.
