Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the packaging mechanically and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. Thorough hygiene helps minimise the risk of microbial contamination as well as undesirable changes in the fragrance or texture of the product.

Products should be stored in a dry place, at a stable room temperature and away from direct sunlight or sources of heat. Dark glass helps reduce light penetration to the contents, but for sensitive formulations (for example with a high proportion of essential oils or antioxidants) we recommend also following the storage recommendations given directly in the product’s formula. It is important to always close the bottle carefully to minimise the contact of air with the contents.

Before repeated use, we recommend removing the remaining contents as thoroughly as possible, rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution and then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water. After drying, it is necessary to disinfect the inner surface and any cap with an alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant-based ethanol. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and the packaging has dried is it appropriate to refill the bottle with a new product.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. After emptying and basic cleaning, the glass bottle should be sorted into the container designated for glass, while the cap can go into the appropriate separated waste stream according to the material used (plastic, metal, etc.). Before disposal, it is practical to at least roughly rinse the packaging to minimise product residues that could reduce the quality of the sorted waste.
