The plastic bottle with smooth closure and reducer represents a practical and safe packaging for liquid and slightly viscous products, where controlled application and clean handling are important. The reducer in the cap decreases the diameter of the outlet, making the dispensing smooth and more precise, which you will appreciate for cosmetic preparations, concentrated blends or homemade formulations. The packaging made of PET-type plastic is lightweight, resistant to normal use and suitable for clear storage and transport of products in smaller batches.
The packaging can be reused under normal conditions of use, provided you observe basic hygiene rules. Before each new filling, the bottle, cap and reducer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol of a quality suitable for working with packaging, which you can find in the Handymade range – for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After applying the disinfectant, allow the packaging to air out thoroughly and dry so that your product is not adversely affected.
First mechanically remove residues of the original product by rinsing with warm (not boiling) water and a suitable cleaning agent. Then rinse the packaging with clean water and apply a disinfectant, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. Make sure that the disinfectant also comes into contact with the inside of the cap and the reducer. After disinfection, allow all parts of the packaging to dry freely in a clean, dust-free place. Do not boil the packaging and do not wash it in a dishwasher to avoid deformation.
The bottle is made of PET-type plastic, which is strong and lightweight, but at the same time more sensitive to high temperatures. PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, therefore there is a risk of deformation of the packaging when in contact with boiling water, during boiling or when washing in a dishwasher. It is recommended to fill only with products of an appropriate temperature (preferably room temperature) and to store away from direct sources of heat or long-term intensive sunlight. By following these principles, you will extend the service life of the packaging and maintain its functionality.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend, after emptying and basic cleaning, placing it in sorted waste according to the material designation given in the product parameters on Handymade. PET packaging is usually sorted into the container intended for plastic waste. Before throwing it away, it is advisable to remove product residues and reduce the volume of the bottle by compressing it, thereby reducing space requirements during collection. Sort the cap and any other plastic components according to their material designation, if given. In case of doubt, follow the rules of your local waste sorting system.
To make it easier to choose a suitable bottle, pill bottle or jar, you can use the extended filter in the packaging material categories. The extended filter is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category and allows you to select according to key parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. This allows you to quickly narrow down the range to packaging that corresponds to your formulation and the required dispensing method.
The lightweight and durable PET packaging is also practical for carrying smaller batches of products, whether when travelling or when selling at markets and pop-up events. The screw cap in combination with the reducer helps to minimize the risk of accidental leakage, but during transport we always recommend checking that the closure is tightened firmly and, for safety, packing the bottles in secondary packaging (for example a resealable bag). When storing and transporting, avoid extreme temperatures and strong direct sunlight in order to maintain the quality of both the product and the packaging.
