FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this bottle with sprayer suitable for products containing alcohol?

The packaging is made of PET plastic material, which is commonly used also for products containing alcohol; however, the behaviour of the specific formulation may affect the long-term stability of the packaging and the sprayer. We recommend preparing a trial sample, filling the bottle with it and observing changes over several days to weeks (colour of the plastic, odour, sealing, dosing smoothness). For highly concentrated alcohol blends, your own compatibility test is particularly important.

Can I use this PET bottle repeatedly for different products?

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed; however, it is recommended to keep it long-term for the same type of product (for example, always for cosmetic waters or always for room sprays). Before each new filling, the bottle and the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and residues of the previous formulation. For disinfection we recommend using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which are suitable for treating the inner surfaces of the packaging before filling.

How should I care for the PET bottle so that it remains functional and does not deform?

When caring for PET packaging, it is important to avoid high temperatures. Do not expose the bottle or the sprayer to direct sunlight in a closed car, to the vicinity of heat sources or to hot water. PET material is not intended for dishwasher cleaning or boiling, as this could lead to deformation or weakening of the sealing of the closure. For cleaning, use lukewarm water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and then disinfect with a suitable alcohol-based preparation before the next filling.

How can I dispose of or recycle this bottle in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend, after rinsing, placing it into sorted waste according to the material marking stated in the parameter table at the product. The bottle itself is made of PET plastic, which is standardly collected in containers intended for plastics. Before recycling, it is advisable to separate the sprayer from the bottle body to facilitate sorting of the individual components. For local sorting rules, follow the instructions of your collection yard or municipal services.
