Glass dropper bottle represents a professional packaging for precise dosing of liquid preparations, extracts and concentrated blends. High-quality glass combined with a practical dropper enables safe, controlled and hygienic use for home as well as artisan production of cosmetics or supplements. Dark glass also helps reduce light penetration, thereby contributing to better stability of sensitive components and extending their usability.
The glass bottle is equipped with a dropper, but in terms of neck type it is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected directly in the product detail. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation.
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before the first filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle and the dropper, rinsing them with clean water and then disinfecting them with a suitable agent. For disinfecting the packaging, you can use isopropyl alcohol or ethanol – you can find them in our range as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After treatment, allow the packaging to dry thoroughly at room temperature and only then fill it with the final product.
The glass bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with an alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. We also recommend checking the condition of the dropper and the rubber or plastic parts – in case of visible wear or colour changes, it is advisable to replace these components with new ones.
When filling, work in the cleanest environment possible, use disinfected tools (funnel, measuring cups, pipettes) and minimise contact of the inner part of the bottle with your hands. Fill the packaging at an appropriate speed to prevent unnecessary foaming or excessive air ingress. After filling, immediately put on the dropper and close the bottle tightly, which reduces the risk of microbial contamination and oxidation of sensitive components.
If you decide not to continue using the packaging, first empty the bottle and, where possible, remove product residues. Dispose of the glass part of the bottle in the container designated for glass; the closure with dropper (plastic, or a combination of plastic, rubber and glass in the pipette) should be sorted according to local waste collection rules – usually into the container for plastic or mixed waste if local sorting of composite materials is not available. Recycling recommendations may differ slightly depending on the municipality, so it is advisable to follow the instructions of the local waste collection as well.
When selecting packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, dropper bottles, cosmetic packaging). In the filter, you can sort products by neck type, size, colour and material, enabling you to quickly find a suitable combination of packaging and closure for your specific formulation. The filters also help you to harmonise the design of packaging across the entire product range.
