The glass dropper bottle is a professional packaging solution designed for precise dosing of both more viscous and thinner liquids in cosmetics and in the production of homemade preparations. The amber glass helps protect more sensitive components from light and supports longer stability of the contents, while the dropper also enables comfortable and hygienic drop-by-drop dosing.
This type of dropper bottle is suitable for packaging serums, oil blends, tinctures and other concentrated products where cleanliness, secure closure and controlled dosing are important. High-quality glass in combination with a practical dropper creates a reliable bottle for small to medium-sized product batches, suitable for home crafting as well as for small-scale artisanal production.
This glass bottle is intended for use with a dropper, and within the same packaging range it is generally compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected in the e-shop. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before first use, we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging (rinsing off dust and impurities) and then thoroughly disinfecting it. In practice, rinsing or spraying with a suitable alcoholic disinfectant has proven effective, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based, followed by complete drying in a clean environment. Only then is the bottle ready to be filled with the final product.
The glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. After the contents have been used up, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle and the dropper, removing any residues of the original product and, before refilling, always cleaning and disinfecting again using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % or 96 % plant-based ethanol. In this way you minimise the risk of microbial contamination and deterioration of the new product.
The dropper is designed for precise and comfortable drop-by-drop dosing. After filling the bottle, simply gently squeeze the rubber part of the dropper, immerse the pipette in the liquid, release to draw in the contents, and then, over the target area, dose the required amount by repeated squeezing. With more viscous oils the dripping may be slower, therefore it is advisable to observe in advance the dosing speed for the specific formulation.
When choosing packaging for a serum or oil blend, consider the type of product (oil-based, water-based, alcohol-based), the desired mode of application and the intended use. Dropper bottles are suitable for concentrated formulations and smaller doses where precise dosing is important. For larger volumes and more frequent use, bottles with a pump dispenser or sprayer may also be suitable. Within one product line you can use several packaging sizes, which makes it easier to create test, travel and full-size packs.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the parameter table at the product on the Handymade.sk website. The glass part can generally (after removal of any product residues) be sorted into the container intended for glass, while the dropper with plastic and rubber components is sorted according to the material used or handed over in accordance with local waste collection rules. Before recycling, it is advisable to rinse the bottle in order to minimise product residues in the waste.
