Before first filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle, rinsing it and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol-based product. For disinfection you can use, for example, isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or plant-based ethanol Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After applying the disinfectant solution, let the packaging dry naturally in a clean place to minimise the risk of microbial contamination.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, especially in DIY production for personal use or for internal testing of formulas. Before each new filling it is important to thoroughly clean the bottle and the dropper and then disinfect them, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. This reduces the risk of deterioration of the new fill and ensures higher microbiological cleanliness.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material type specified in the product parameters. The glass medicine bottle can generally be placed, after cleaning off product residues, into a container intended for glass, while the dropper with rubber and plastic parts is usually suitable for sorting according to the predominant material or for handing over within small municipal waste collection if local rules do not allow more detailed sorting. Before recycling, we always recommend checking the local waste management guidelines and the information in the parameter table for the product.
The dropper is particularly suitable for liquids with low to medium viscosity, such as oil serums, light vegetable oils, essential oils intended for external use, water- and glycerin-based solutions or intensive facial elixirs. For thicker cream or gel formulations, dosing with a dropper may be uncomfortable, so it is advisable to test the behaviour of the specific formula in the packaging before final filling and, if necessary, choose another type of dispensing.
