FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to use this plastic bottle with spray pump repeatedly?

The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed; however, it is always recommended to consider the cleanliness requirements for the particular type of product. Before each new filling, both the bottle and the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or 96% denatured plant-based ethanol. After rinsing, allow all parts to dry completely and only then refill the packaging.

What should I pay attention to when using the plastic bottle with spray pump in terms of temperature and cleaning?

The plastic material of the bottle and the mechanism of the spray pump are not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. Do not use hot water, do not expose the bottle to a direct heat source for a long time and do not boil it. There is a risk of deformation of the packaging, deterioration of the spray pump function or leakage. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher. For cleaning, preferably use lukewarm water, a mild detergent and then, if needed, disinfection with a suitable alcohol.

The test should be carried out under normal and limit storage conditions that you expect for the final product.

How should I correctly recycle the packaging if I do not want to use it repeatedly?

Before recycling, we recommend emptying the bottle, rinsing it and, where possible, separating the bottle body from the spray pump. Then follow the recommendations given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website, where the type of material used and the corresponding recycling mark are specified. According to this, place the individual parts of the packaging in the appropriate sorted waste stream or hand over the packaging in accordance with local rules for sorting and collection of plastics.
