Plastic jar with lid represents a practical and hygienic packaging suitable for dispensing and storing creamy, gel-based and loose products. Thanks to its solid construction and sealing closure, this jar is suitable for filling cosmetic preparations as well as various blends where protection of the contents from impurities and excessive contact with air is important. The smooth surface of the packaging allows easy labelling with your own label and professional presentation of the finished product.
This packaging forms a complete set jar + lid, ready for immediate use without the need to purchase additional components. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the jar is suitable for packaging thick and semi-thick preparations such as butters, balms, ointments or creamy blends. The wider opening of the container allows comfortable filling and dispensing of the product with a spatula or fingers, which is practical especially for thicker formulations. Before the first filling we recommend cleaning the packaging and, depending on the type of product, also disinfecting it.
The jar can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling it is necessary to wash the packaging thoroughly, dry it and then disinfect it with a suitable agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and the impact on the stability of your formulation. In case of visible wear, damage to the thread or the lid, we recommend replacing the jar with a new one.
Before the first filling, first remove any dust or manufacturing residues by rinsing with a suitable cleaning agent and clean water. Then let the packaging dry thoroughly so that no moisture residues remain inside. For cosmetic formulations it is ideal to subsequently disinfect the jar – for example by spraying or wiping using IPA 99 % or 96 % ethanol. Before filling, make sure that no residues of cleaning agents remain in the container.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend emptying it as much as possible of product residues and then, according to the material designation in the product parameters, placing it in the appropriate separated waste. Follow the recycling symbol and the material designation indicated for the product – according to these, the jar belongs in the respective container for plastic waste. By separating the lid and the container you will simplify subsequent processing in the recycling process.
