FAQ – Most frequently asked questions

Can this glass bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, with proper handling the glass bottle is suitable for repeated use. However, before each new filling it is essential to clean and disinfect the packaging thoroughly to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and product deterioration. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, which you can find in the offer as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After thorough rinsing and drying, the bottle is ready for refilling.

How should I correctly clean the glass bottle with spray before refilling?

First we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent, then rinsing it thoroughly with clean water so that no residues of the cleaning agent remain. Then spray or rinse the inside of the packaging with a suitable disinfectant alcohol (for example IPA or ethanol intended for cleaning packaging) and let it dry completely. For the atomizer it is advisable to press the mechanism several times with clean water and then also with disinfectant alcohol so that the entire dip tube and spray head are flushed through. Only after it is completely dry is the packaging ready for a new product.

For what type of products is the square glass bottle with spray most suitable?

This type of packaging is ideal for water-based and alcohol-based formulations that require fine misting without hand contact with the skin. These can include facial toners, hydrolats, body and hair mists, air fresheners, interior sprays or hand disinfectant solutions. Due to the glass material it is also suitable for formulations with a higher proportion of alcohol or active substances which may not be as stable in plastic packaging. For thicker emulsions or oils, however, it is better to choose another type of dispenser, for example a pump.

How should I correctly dispose of and recycle the glass packaging at the end of its life?

If you decide not to use the bottle any longer, we recommend placing it in sorted collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass body of the packaging normally belongs in the container designated for glass (green or white, depending on local rules). Before placing the packaging in sorted waste it is advisable to remove any product residues and, if possible, to separate the atomizer from the glass. The atomizer mechanism is usually made of plastic and metal parts which should be sorted according to the recommendations of your local collection company and according to the information on material composition in the product parameters on the website. In this way you support efficient recycling and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
