Yes, the bottle can be reused if handled correctly and hygienic principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is important to thoroughly clean the packaging and the sprayer and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Disinfection helps to reduce the risk of microbial contamination of the new contents and extend its usability. When reusing, always monitor the condition of the plastic and the functionality of the trigger mechanism – in case of damage, do not continue using the packaging and recycle it according to the recommendations in the product parameters.
The trigger sprayer is particularly suitable for liquid, low-viscosity preparations that need to be applied as a spray or fine mist. These include, for example, facial and body waters, hair tonics, air fresheners, surface cleaners or sprays for plants intended for external use. With thicker emulsions or gels, spraying comfort may decrease or the dip tube may become clogged, so it is recommended to always test the specific formulation beforehand in a smaller quantity.
After the contents have been used up, we recommend rinsing the bottle and sprayer immediately with lukewarm water so that residues of the formulation on the walls and in the dip tube do not dry on. Then it is advisable to use a mild cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly, and we recommend pumping part of the solution through the sprayer itself. After rinsing, let all parts dry naturally at room temperature. Before the next use of the packaging, it is necessary to disinfect the inner surface and the sprayer mechanism with an alcohol-based product such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and only then refill it with a new product.
