Plastic jar with black base, transparent lid is a practical cosmetic packaging intended for hygienic and safe storage of various mixtures with a firmer or semi-solid consistency. Thanks to the convenient wide opening, it allows comfortable scooping with fingers or a spatula and is suitable for filling creams, ointments, balms, butters, powders or loose blends. Is this jar suitable for packaging ointments, balms and firmer blends?

Yes, the plastic jar with a black base and transparent lid is designed for safe storage of semi-solid and firmer products, such as oily balms, butters, creams or wax blends. The wide opening makes it easier to scoop with a finger or spatula and the screw lid helps to keep the contents protected from impurities and dust.

Can I reuse the jar for different products?

The jar can be reused as long as you follow correct hygiene principles. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99% – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured vegetable. In this way you will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the stability of the filled product. For significantly different types of filling (for example switching from aromatic balms to sensitive facial care) we recommend considering the use of new packaging.

How should I correctly clean and maintain the plastic jar between individual fillings?

After emptying the jar, remove product residues mechanically, then wash it in lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent intended for manual washing. After thorough rinsing, let the packaging dry completely and only then disinfect it with alcohol (for example with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol). Avoid long-term exposure to high temperatures and aggressive cleaning agents, which could shorten the lifespan of the plastic or affect its appearance.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this plastic packaging if I do not plan to use it further?

If you do not wish to reuse the jar, we recommend, after removing product residues and basic rinsing, to place it in sorted waste according to the type of plastic indicated in the product parameters.
