The glass bottle with spray pump is a high-quality packaging suitable for precise and hygienic dispensing of various liquid preparations. Thanks to the spray mechanism, it enables convenient application of a fine mist or local spraying of the product onto the skin, hair or surface. Glass is a stable material that is popular for packaging cosmetics as well as artisan-made products, because it minimizes the interaction of the packaging with the contents and helps preserve its properties for longer.
Yes, this packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the spray pump and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After complete drying, you can refill the packaging. When changing the type of product (for example from a water-based to an oil-based one), always perform a functionality test of the spray pump.
The bottle is ideal for liquid preparations with low to medium viscosity that are intended to be applied in the form of a spray or fine mist. In practice, this includes facial toners, hydrolats, refreshing sprays for face and body, hair sprays, light oil or hydro-alcoholic blends intended for external use, room sprays or disinfecting solutions. Thick creamy or gel products are not suitable for this type of mechanism.
The glass part can be rinsed with warm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for contact with cosmetics, then thoroughly rinsed with clean water and left to dry. We recommend rinsing the spray pump with water or a suitable solvent according to the type of the previous product (water- or alcohol-based) and pressing it several times so that the mechanism is flushed through. After mechanical cleaning, it is necessary to disinfect both the glass bottle and the spray pump with an alcohol solution, for example using isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol, and let them dry completely before the next filling.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to first empty it completely and minimise any remaining product residues. The glass container should be placed in a container intended for glass according to local recycling rules. The plastic spray pump and any decorative elements made of other materials should be sorted separately according to the type of plastic, or handed over within municipal waste collection if the local system does not allow specific sorting. When sorting, always follow the material pictogram and the recommendations provided with the product and in the parameter tables on Handymade.sk.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the respective packaging material category. After clicking on a category (for example bottles, jars or spray pumps), you will find the advanced filter at the top of the page. Using the filter, you can conveniently select packaging according to neck type, size, colour and material, or combine several criteria at once. In this way, you quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that is most suitable for the specific product and the intended dosing method.
When filling, we recommend not exceeding the recommended filling level stated in the product parameters, in order to maintain proper functioning of the spray pump and to prevent overflow when closing. Do not fill the product at extremely high temperatures and avoid sudden temperature shocks. When storing, protect the bottle from mechanical damage and from long-term exposure to direct sunlight or very high temperatures, which can affect the stability of the contents as well as the components of the spray pump. Before launching your own product on the market, always perform a compatibility test with regard to formulation stability, dosing and packaging tightness.
