Clear Glass Bottle, Round, Gold White Dropper, 12 ml

This small clear glass pharmaceutical bottle with a nominal volume of 12 ml is supplied complete with a white and gold dropper. The set is intended for cosmetics that are dispensed by the drop: facial and oil serums, essential oil blends in a carrier oil, tinctures for external use or oil elixirs for the nail bed. The 12 ml volume also suits samples and travel sizes, where a larger bottle is not worth it.

How the set works

The dropper is sized in length to fit this bottle, so it also picks up the remaining contents at the bottom. Squeezing the silicone bulb fills the glass tube, and releasing it dispenses individual drops. Dispensing by the drop suits concentrated products, where every drop matters.

The glass part of the dropper withstands oils and alcohol extracts. However, the silicone bulb may soften with prolonged contact with concentrated essential oils. We therefore recommend checking how your particular formulation behaves in the dropper after several weeks of use.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful volume, given in the parameters, is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference forms a reserve for the glass tube of the dropper, which takes up part of the space once screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill up to the nominal volume, never to the brim. An overfilled bottle overflows when the dropper is fitted and the product gets onto the thread, where it then turns sticky.

• Preparation before filling – wash the bottles and droppers before first use, disinfect them with alcohol or isopropyl alcohol and leave them to dry completely. Moisture in an oil product encourages the growth of microorganisms.
• Filling – for such a small volume, a syringe or a small funnel works well. The neck is narrow and the product easily spills when poured from a larger container.
• Tightening the dropper – the gold cap only needs to be tightened by hand. If overtightened, the thread may become deformed and the set then does not seal.
• Reuse – the glass bottle can be used again after thorough washing. With the dropper, check whether the bulb is sticky or cracked. Remove oil residues from the glass tube first with alcohol, then by washing.
• Glass and heat – the glass withstands hot water during washing, but not a sudden change of temperature. Do not put a hot bottle under cold water.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. It is not approved for contact with food, so do not use it for herbal syrups, cooking oils or tinctures for internal use.
