Plastic lid for jar, black is a reliable closure designed for hygienic and safe sealing of jars during storage and transport. Thanks to the integrated sealing liner made of EPE material, it helps improve tightness and reduces the risk of the contents leaking into the thread, which you will appreciate especially with creamy, gel-based and pasty products. According to the enclosed certificate, it is suitable for use with cosmetic products and is also suitable for direct contact with all types of food.

You offer many packaging options – how can I find the right one for my product?

We recommend using the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the category. You can filter by the following parameters: neck, size, colour, material, so that you can quickly find compatible packaging and a compatible closure.

What materials is the lid made of and what is the role of the seal?

The lid is made of PP (polypropylene) and contains a sealing liner made of EPE. The seal helps improve the tightness of the closure and reduces the risk of the contents leaking into the thread when properly closed.

Is this closure also suitable for food?

Yes, according to the enclosed certificate, the packaging material is suitable for direct contact with all types of food. In practice, we recommend testing the sealing with the specific contents and storage method (e.g. in the case of oily or very liquid components).

Can the lid be used repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be reused provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before filling, it is necessary to clean and disinfect the lid (including the contact surface of the seal) (ALK001 / ALK002), for example using IPA 99% (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol 96% (denatured, plant-based), and then allow it to dry completely.

How can I find out whether the closure will seal well with my jar?

Follow the neck compatibility indicated in the product parameters. For final use we recommend your own test: fill the jar, close it, turn it over several times and check the sealing also after it has been left to stand. The behaviour with oily and very liquid formulations is particularly important.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle the closure if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the closure, we recommend recycling it. Remove product residues and sort it according to the materials listed in the parameters (PP, EPE). If possible, sort the parts separately; otherwise, hand it over to plastic collection in accordance with your municipality’s rules.
