Before each new filling, it is necessary to wash the packaging thoroughly, rinse it and subsequently disinfect it with a suitable alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After drying and checking the functionality of the cap, the packaging is ready for further safe use.

How should the packaging be properly cleaned and disinfected before a new filling?

We recommend first rinsing the bottle with lukewarm water and a mild cleansing agent, or a suitable degreaser, and thoroughly removing all residues of the original product. Afterwards, it is advisable to apply alcohol-based disinfection – for example, the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based are practical. After disinfection, let the packaging dry thoroughly, check the cleanliness of the reducer and the cap, and only then fill it again.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this plastic packaging if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, it is advisable to clean it from residues of the contents and, according to the material designation in the product parameters, place it in the appropriate sorted waste stream. Information on the type of plastic and the recommended method of recycling can be found in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. In general, the following applies: empty the packaging, rinse it basically, separate the plastic cap from the bottle body and place both parts in the appropriate container for the given type of plastic.
