Combining with closures and dispensers

The glass bottle with spray pump forms a complete functional unit, with the spray head adapted for comfortable and even dosing of the contents. FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this glass bottle also suitable for products containing alcohol or hydrolates?

The glass packaging is generally well tolerated by most cosmetic formulations, including products based on hydrolates or solutions containing alcohol. However, we always recommend carrying out a trial stability test – fill a small amount of the formulation, monitor changes in fragrance, colour and clarity, and verify whether the spray pump doses smoothly even during longer-term use.

Can I use this bottle repeatedly for different cosmetic products?

The bottle can be reused provided hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging including the spray pump must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use products available on Handymade, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging has completely dried do we recommend refilling it with a new product.

How should I correctly clean and disinfect the bottle before further use?

First empty any remaining contents and rinse the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution or warm water with detergent, avoiding extreme temperatures that could damage the plastic parts of the spray pump. Then apply disinfection – for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based, leave it to act, pour out any excess and let the packaging dry naturally. We recommend the same procedure for the spray pump – it is advisable to spray the disinfectant several times through the mechanism so that the internal liquid path is cleaned.

How can I recycle this bottle if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. After emptying and cleaning, the glass container can normally be placed in the glass recycling bin, while the plastic parts of the spray pump belong in sorted plastic waste according to local rules. Before handing it over for recycling, make sure that no product residues remain in the packaging that could complicate material recovery.
