Glass bottle with dropper represents a professional packaging intended for the precise dosing of liquid formulations where purity, stability and protection of the contents are important. Thanks to high-quality glass and a dropper closure, it is suitable for filling serums, oils, concentrates and other preparations that require controlled drop-by-drop dosing.
Dark, glossy glass helps protect more sensitive ingredients from the effects of light and external factors, which contributes to longer stability of formulations. The packaging is designed to look elegant and professional while providing practical and hygienic dosing using a dropper with a sealing closure.
Standalone glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected with the product. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing method and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, pH, alcohol or oil content).
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Before the first filling we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing it with a suitable cleaning agent and clean water) and then drying it thoroughly. To ensure hygiene, it is appropriate to carry out the last step by disinfecting the inner surface and the dropper with alcohol, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated is the bottle ready for filling.
Yes, the glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling it is necessary to wash the bottle and the dropper thoroughly, check that they are undamaged, and then clean and disinfect them, for example using IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Allow the disinfectant to evaporate completely so that it does not affect the properties of the filled formulation.
The suitability of the packaging for a specific formulation must always be verified by your own testing. We recommend filling a smaller test quantity of the product and monitoring the behaviour of the packaging and the contents – the sealing of the dropper, the smoothness of dosing, changes in colour or odour, any settling or reactions on the glass wall and in the dropper. Also follow the recommendations given in the product parameters and in the Packaging Quality Certificate.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types stated in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle, after being emptied and basically cleaned, is usually placed in a container designated for glass, while the components of the closure, the dropper and any seals should be sorted according to their material composition (plastic, rubber or possibly metal). When recycling, follow local waste sorting rules and the information in the parameter table for the product on Handymade.sk.
