The plastic bottle with spray pump is a practical packaging intended for convenient dispensing of various liquid preparations in the form of a fine mist. Thanks to the plastic material used, the bottle is lightweight, impact‑resistant and suitable for everyday use in the bathroom, around the home and in professional facilities. The spray pump ensures even application of the preparation to the skin, hair, surfaces or textiles, which makes it a reliable container for a wide range of cosmetic and technical formulations.
Plastic bottles with spray pump are compatible with various types of caps and dosing methods according to the parameters selected in the online shop. With the same neck specification, they can be combined, for example, with screw caps, other types of spray pumps, lotion pumps or practical applicators. Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly at Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
If the bottle is made from PET material, it is important to keep in mind that PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, at which deformation of the packaging may occur. Such packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling; gentle hand cleaning at appropriate temperatures and with suitable disinfection is recommended.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The packaging can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene rules are followed. Before every refilling, both the bottle and the spray pump need to be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol (IPA 99 %) or ethanol (Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant‑based). Disinfection helps to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the stability of your formulation.
First, rinse the packaging mechanically with suitably warm water and a mild cleaning agent to remove residues of the original contents. Afterwards, we recommend rinsing both the packaging and the spray head with an alcohol‑based disinfectant solution (for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant‑based). For plastic packaging, especially made from PET material, avoid high temperatures, boiling or a dishwasher in order to prevent deformation of the bottle and deterioration of the spray pump sealing.
This type of packaging is ideal especially for low‑viscosity liquids that need to be applied as a fine spray – for example toners, hydrolats, facial and body waters, hair sprays, air fresheners or light cleaning solutions. Before filling, always check the compatibility of the bottle material with the solvents, oils or active substances used, to ensure the stability, safety and long‑term functionality of the spray pump.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to local waste‑sorting rules. First remove any product residue, rinse the packaging and then place it in the appropriate sorting stream according to the material listed in the product parameters (for example a plastic container in the bin designated for plastics). It is advisable to separate the spray head before sorting, as it may contain a combination of several materials. Following the recommended recycling symbol in the parameter table helps to ensure correct processing of the packaging in the recycling process.
To choose the right packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the Handymade online shop. This filter is located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. You can easily set the required parameters there, such as the neck type and size, packaging size, colour or material. This allows you to quickly find bottles, jars, pots or vials that match your formulation and your visual preferences.
Before final filling, we recommend testing in particular the compatibility of the formulation with the packaging material and with the spray mechanism. This includes a sealing test (to check that the packaging does not leak during transport and at different temperatures), the dosing functionality (spray uniformity, non‑clogging valve) and observation of the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific solvents, oils or active substances over a longer period of time. Such a test helps to prevent changes in appearance, deformation of the plastic or possible changes in the fragrance and colour of the product.
