Product description

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Can this plastic bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, we recommend using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and of the stability of the new fill being affected by residues of the previous product.

How should this bottle be properly cleaned and disinfected before reuse?

First rinse the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution (for example warm water with a mild detergent) and rinse thoroughly so that no residues of the original product or of the cleaning agent remain. We then recommend spraying or rinsing the internal and external surfaces of the packaging, including the cap and reducer insert, with disinfecting alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % ethanol denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly at room temperature in a clean, dust-protected place.

Is this plastic packaging suitable for exposure to higher temperatures or for washing in a dishwasher?

Plastic packaging made from PET-type material or related plastics is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. Contact with hot water, steam or the drying cycle in a dishwasher may cause deformation, impaired sealing or changes in mechanical properties. We therefore do not recommend washing the packaging in a dishwasher, boiling it or exposing it to a direct source of heat. For gentle cleaning, lukewarm water with a mild cleaning agent followed by disinfection with alcohol is sufficient.

How can I dispose of or recycle this bottle in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer wish to use it?

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend first emptying it and disposing of any product residues according to the nature of the contents. It is then appropriate to recycle the bottle and cap in accordance with the recommendations given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website, where you will find information on the type of material and the appropriate waste stream. In most cases, plastic packaging is placed in the container for plastic, but always follow the specific material marking and local waste sorting rules.
