FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this bottle also suitable for thicker preparations or gels?

The spray dispenser is designed primarily for liquid formulations with low to medium viscosity, for which it is possible to create a fine mist. For thicker preparations, creams or gels, we recommend using packaging with a pump or dispenser instead. Before filling, always perform a trial test with a smaller amount of product to verify the smoothness of dosing and the uniformity of spraying.

Can I reuse this bottle for homemade cosmetic production?

Yes, the packaging can be reused provided that hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the spray dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the alcohol, allow the packaging to dry completely and only then refill it.

How should I properly clean the spray dispenser if the dosing or spray pattern deteriorates?

If spraying deteriorates (irregular stream, dripping, clogging), we recommend unscrewing the spray dispenser from the bottle and rinsing it with warm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for contact with the given type of contents. Then pump clean water through the mechanism several times until the stream becomes smooth. Before the next use, allow all parts to dry thoroughly and, if necessary, disinfect them at the end with alcohol. Avoid using coarse tools or needles that could permanently damage the nozzle.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the spray bottle any longer, we recommend first emptying it completely and, if possible, rinsing out any remaining product. The method of recycling is determined by the type of plastic material specified in the product parameters for the given packaging – based on this information, you place the bottle in the appropriate sorted waste stream (most often the container for plastics). The spray dispenser may be made from a combination of several plastics, so, if necessary, separate it from the bottle and follow local recycling rules. Always follow the recommendations of your municipality or waste collection company.
