FAQ – Most frequent questions

Can this plastic bottle be used repeatedly?

The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and rinsing the packaging so that no residues of the original product remain in it. It is then advisable to disinfect the inner space and all parts that come into contact with the contents with a suitable alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after it has completely dried can you refill the bottle.

How should I clean the sprayer correctly so that its functionality is not reduced?

We recommend cleaning the sprayer by filling the container with clean water or a suitable cleaning solution and actuating the mechanism several times so that the inner tube and the spray head itself are flushed through. For thicker or more oily formulations, a short soaking of the tube in warm (not hot) water with a mild detergent can help, followed by a thorough rinse with clean water. Avoid mechanically interfering with the nozzle using sharp objects so as not to damage it.

Is this plastic packaging suitable for contact with hot liquids or for sterilisation by boiling?

The plastic material used for this type of packaging is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures. In contact with hot liquids or when attempting sterilisation by boiling, deformation of the packaging and deterioration of the sprayer sealing may occur. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher and long-term contact with temperatures beyond normal indoor storage conditions is also not recommended. For disinfection, use alcohol-based solutions instead and allow the packaging to dry naturally at room temperature.

How can I dispose of this bottle in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to use the packaging any longer, we recommend first emptying it completely and removing any remaining contents. Then sort the bottle and the sprayer according to the material information given in the product parameters for the specific packaging on the site. Dispose of the plastic parts in the appropriate container for plastics; it is advisable to at least lightly rinse the packaging before discarding it. Respect local waste-sorting rules and the recommendations resulting from the recycling symbols provided with the product.
