The bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed; however, we always recommend thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the packaging before each refilling. For disinfecting the inner surface and the cap, the use of high-percentage alcohol has proved effective, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After rinsing and drying the packaging, fill the bottle only when it is completely dry and free from residues of the cleaning agent.

Before final filling, we recommend preparing a test sample: fill the bottle with a smaller quantity of product, close it with the selected closure or dispenser, and observe the behaviour of the packaging for several days. Pay particular attention to sealing, any seepage, changes in the shape of the packaging, and the functionality of dosing (smoothness, uniformity, clogging). Perform the test under conditions similar to real storage (temperature, handling, transport) to be sure that the combination of the packaging and your formulation is long-term stable and safe.

For bottles made of PET material, it is important to avoid exposure to high temperatures, as this may lead to deformation of the packaging and deterioration of the sealing of the closure. PET is not suitable for boiling or for washing in a dishwasher; hand cleaning in moderately warm water with a suitable cleaning agent is recommended, followed by disinfection with alcohol and thorough drying. It is also advisable to protect the bottle from prolonged direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations in order to maintain the shape stability and functionality of the packaging.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste according to the type of plastic material indicated in the product parameters and on the bottle itself (recycling symbol). Before placing it in the relevant container, remove any remaining contents and, if necessary, rinse the packaging to facilitate recycling. The cap is often made of a different plastic from the bottle body, so it is ideal to sort the individual parts separately if local recycling rules allow this. Always follow the local waste sorting system and the information in the parameter table at the product.
