Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After cleaning, allow all parts to dry thoroughly and only then refill the packaging.

For cleaning, we recommend first rinsing the packaging thoroughly with lukewarm water and a mild detergent, then rinsing several times with clean water and letting it drain. For more professional hygiene it is suitable, after washing, to apply disinfection using alcohol and again allow all parts to dry completely. For the dispenser it is recommended to press the mechanism several times with clean water and then with a disinfectant solution so that the inner part of the pump is also flushed. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination of the new contents.

Plastic packaging of this type is not intended to be exposed to high temperatures, therefore we do not recommend washing it in a dishwasher or boiling it. When in contact with high temperature, the bottle may deform or the dispenser may be damaged, which can affect the sealing as well as the functionality of the pump. For cleaning, lukewarm water, a mild cleaning agent and subsequent disinfection with alcohol, as well as natural drying at room temperature without a direct heat source, are more suitable.

If you decide not to use the packaging further, we recommend first completely emptying it and removing any residues of the original product. The method of recycling must be adapted to the type of plastic material indicated in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade.sk website – according to the material designation, choose the appropriate sorting container. All parts of the packaging (bottle body, pump, any cap) should, where possible, be separated so that they can be sorted as efficiently as possible. If the material cannot be recycled within your sorting system, dispose of the packaging according to local rules for plastic waste and consider reusing it for non-cosmetic purposes (for example for technical solutions) after thorough cleaning.
