The glass bottle represents a professional solution for packaging various liquid formulations where precise dosage, aesthetics and protection of the contents are important. Thanks to high‑quality glass, it is suitable for cosmetic preparations, technical solutions and concentrated blends that require stable and reliable packaging. Dark glass also naturally contributes to better protection of sensitive contents from light.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the packaging and then disinfecting it with a suitable product, for example with isopropyl alcohol (ALK001) or ethanol (ALK002). In this way you ensure that neither residues of the previous product nor microbiological contamination will affect the quality of the new fill.
First we recommend removing residues of the original product by rinsing with warm water and a mild cleaning agent suitable for laboratory or cosmetic equipment. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water, allow it to dry completely and only then carry out disinfection using isopropyl alcohol or plant‑based ethanol. Allow the disinfectant solution to act briefly and then let the packaging air‑dry.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to local waste‑sorting rules. The glass part of the bottle should be emptied, optionally rinsed of product residues and placed in the container intended for sorted glass waste. The closure, any seals or dosing components should be sorted separately according to material (most often plastic or metal), in accordance with the information from the product parameters and the local waste collection system.
The glass packaging is generally suitable for a wide range of formulations, including oil‑based, water‑based and alcohol‑based solutions. Nevertheless, for each new formula we recommend performing a compatibility test – fill a smaller amount of product and monitor the behaviour of the fill in contact with the glass and the selected closure type (sealing, change of odour, colour or consistency). For very specific or highly concentrated blends, testing is particularly important.
For easier selection of packaging you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. The filter allows products to be sorted according to several parameters, such as neck type, size, colour or material. Thanks to this you will quickly find bottles, jars or pots that meet the technical and design requirements of your product.
When selecting a closure or dispenser, it is important to consider the type of product (drops, serum, oil, tonic, spray) and the desired method of application. On the detailed packaging page you will find compatible accessories arranged to match the neck size. We recommend always choosing a bottle + closure combination that is listed directly on Handymade and then performing your own sealing and dosing test with your specific formulation.
