Glass bottle with pipette and safety lock is a reliable packaging intended for precise dosing of liquid preparations that require hygienic, safe and controlled drop-by-drop application. In combination with the practical pipette, it enables convenient and repeatable dosing without unnecessary product loss.
This type of packaging is especially popular for higher-value formulations where protection of the contents, minimisation of contact with air and comfortable use by the end customer are important. Glass is materially stable, does not react with most cosmetic and technical ingredients and is a suitable choice for products where long-term quality and the visually representative appearance of the packaging are important.
This glass bottle is supplied in combination with a pipette closure with safety lock, which ensures controlled dosing and safe sealing during storage and transport. The combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, this glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the pipette closure and subsequently disinfecting them with a suitable alcoholic preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol (ALK001) or with denatured plant ethanol (ALK002). Only after the packaging and accessories are completely dry is it appropriate to proceed with refilling, in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and product deterioration.
The pipette bottle is ideal for products that are applied in small amounts and where an exact dose is important – typically facial and eye serums, intensive oil treatments, active concentrates, perfume oils, essential oils or herbal drops for external use. Thanks to drop-by-drop dosing, it is also suitable for test formulations and laboratory samples where you need repeatable and controlled dosing.
First remove residues of the previous product by rinsing with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent that is compatible with the ingredients used. Then thoroughly rinse the bottle and the individual parts of the pipette closure with clean water so that no cleaner residues remain. After mechanical cleaning, we recommend disinfecting the packaging with alcohol – ideally using IPA 99 % or 96 % plant ethanol. Allow the components to dry naturally at room temperature in a clean, dust-free place and only then use them again for filling a new product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the rules indicated for the material composition in the product parameters. After rinsing with residual water, place the glass part of the bottle in the appropriate glass container according to local regulations. The pipette closure is composed of several materials (plastic, rubber, glass) – therefore follow the symbols and information in the parameter table on the product and follow local guidelines for sorted waste. Always remove as much product residue as possible before recycling to facilitate processing in the recycling process.
The simplest way is to use the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category (for example glass bottles, medicine bottles or cosmetic jars), you will find at the top of the page the option to filter according to several parameters. You can choose a combination of filters according to neck type, packaging size, colour and material, thus quickly narrowing down the selection to products that are suitable for your specific formulation and dosing method.
When filling, make sure that the bottle and pipette are completely clean and disinfected, preferably using alcoholic disinfectants intended for the preparation of packaging. Do not overfill the bottle up to the neck – leave space for safe closing of the pipette closure and for expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. After closing, check that the pipette seals well and that there is no leakage when the bottle is turned upside down. When storing, follow the recommendations of the final product manufacturer (temperature, light, humidity) and protect the bottle from mechanical damage.
