Yes, the dosing bottle is designed for packaging creamy, emulsion and gel textures that are not extremely thick or highly viscous. For very dense balms or butter-like textures, we always recommend first testing pumpability and dosing on a small trial batch in order to verify the smooth functioning of the pump.

The bottle can be reused if strict hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly mechanically cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly so that residual moisture does not accumulate in the packaging.

We recommend cleaning the pump gently, without using aggressive mechanical tools. After emptying the packaging by pumping out the remaining product, remove any residue, disassemble the pump if this is possible according to its construction, and then rinse it with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent intended for laboratory glassware or kitchen equipment. Then rinse with clean water and, before the next use, apply disinfection with a suitable alcohol. Make sure that residues of the old product do not accumulate inside the pump – this can negatively affect the consistency and hygiene of the new formulation.

When labelling the packaging, we recommend using durable labels suitable for the given type of surface and the environment in which the product will be used (bathroom, spa facility, salon). The label should have sufficient adhesion to glass and be compatible with any moisture or contact with water. From an information point of view, it is important to state the composition, the minimum durability date or PAO symbol, the manufacturer’s contact details and all mandatory data required by the relevant legislative provisions for cosmetic products.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the types of materials used as stated in the product parameters. The glass part should, after emptying and rinsing, be sorted into the container designated for glass. The plastic components of the dosing pump should be sorted according to the type of plastic specified for the product – if the recycling rules in your municipality do not allow separation of all types of plastics, these parts can be handed in at a collection yard or handled according to the local recommendations for mixed waste. Before discarding, make sure that no visible cosmetic residues remain in the packaging in order to minimize the burden on the environment.
