The glass bottle represents a high-quality packaging suitable for filling various liquid and partially viscous formulations that require reliable protection and an aesthetic appearance. Thanks to the robust glass and the practical cap with a safety lock, this container is intended for the safe storage of home-made and professional blends, where dosage control and minimisation of unintended opening are important. The packaging is ideal for small batches, test samples and final products that are meant to look clean, professional and representative.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the bottle is also suitable for lighter oil-based and slightly viscous formulations, provided that the selected type of closure or applicator allows comfortable dosing. For oils, serums and concentrated blends we recommend choosing a dropper, pipette or precise applicator. Before placing the product on the market, it is always advisable to test the behaviour of the specific formulation in contact with the glass and the closure during both short-term and long-term storage.
The bottle can be reused if strict hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. We also recommend ensuring complete drying of the inside of the bottle and working in the cleanest environment possible in order to minimise microbiological load.
Self-adhesive labels or paper tags with an adhesive suitable for glass can be applied to the glass surface. When designing the label, consider not only the design, but also the mandatory information required by applicable legislation (for example product name, composition, directions for use, minimum durability date or responsible person for cosmetics). For smaller volumes, we recommend choosing a clear and highly legible design so that all information is understandable even with the compact size of the packaging.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it responsibly in accordance with local waste-sorting rules. The glass part can usually be placed in a container designated for glass, and the closure must be sorted according to the material specified in the product parameters for the given packaging on the Handymade website. Before recycling, empty the bottle and, if possible, rinse it to remove any remaining contents and to facilitate processing in the recycling process.
To select the right packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter, several parameters can be combined at once – for example the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the packaging, the colour and the material. In this way, you can quickly narrow down the offer to only those bottles, vials or jars that best match the requirements of your specific formulation and the intended method of dosing.
