For very intensive blends, regular checking and tightening of the closure and proper storage away from direct sunlight and heat sources is appropriate.

The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle and the dropper, rinse them and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol, for example with products such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, let all parts dry completely at room temperature. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination as well as undesirable influence on the new formulation by residues of the previous product.

To preserve the stability of the contents, we recommend storing the bottle in an upright position, in a dry and cooler place, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations. Dark matte glass does contribute to better protection of light-sensitive substances, but long-term exposure to high temperatures or strong light may negatively affect the product itself. It is also important to close the dropper carefully after each use in order to limit contact with air.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local regulations and with the information in the parameter table by the product on the Handymade website. The glass bottle can generally be placed, after thorough emptying and rinsing, into the container intended for glass. The dropper consists of several parts (glass pipette, plastic and possibly rubber components) which should, before recycling, preferably be separated where possible and sorted according to the material type specified in the product parameters. Always dispose of any remaining unused contents in accordance with the nature of the substance used and local legislation.
