Before filling, we always recommend checking the compatibility of the recipe with the glass and the dropper using a trial batch.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in a quality suitable for cleaning packaging. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the inside of the bottle and the dropper have completely dried do we recommend refilling, in order to minimize the risk of microbial contamination and any impact on the fragrance or stability of the new product.
First, we recommend removing residues of the original product by rinsing with a suitable solvent (for example oil for oil-based products or a mild soapy solution for common formulations). Then rinse the bottle and the dropper with clean water and allow them to drain. For final disinfection, use an alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or plant-based ethanol. After applying the disinfectant, let the packaging dry completely at room temperature, ideally in a clean and dust-free environment, and only then refill it.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle is usually sorted into a container intended for glass, and it is advisable to empty it of coarse product residues. The dropper may consist of several materials (plastic, rubber, possibly metal parts), so it is advisable to separate it from the bottle and sort it according to local waste management rules. Before handing over to separated collection, it is not necessary to sterilize the packaging; normal rinsing and removal of significant product residues is sufficient.
