The glass roll-on bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for precise and hygienic application of cosmetic preparations. Thanks to the roll-on system, it is ideal for liquid and lightly oily formulations that require controlled dosing directly onto the skin without contact with the hands. The darker-colored glass also helps protect more sensitive components from undesirable light exposure, which supports the stability and longevity of the contents. This type of packaging is suitable for smaller product doses, testers and concentrated blends where application accuracy is important.
Glass roll-on bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and the behavior of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to ensure that the packaging works reliably with your specific product under real usage conditions.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass roll-on bottle is suitable for oil serums, perfume oils and aromatherapeutic blends intended for application to the skin. The roll-on system enables precise dosing onto a specific spot without unnecessary waste of product. When creating the formula, we recommend checking the viscosity – mixtures that are too thick may pass more slowly through the roll-on ball, which should be taken into account in the formulation.
The glass roll-on bottle can be reused if strict hygiene standards are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example with IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or 96% plant-based ethanol. We also recommend checking the condition of the roll-on mechanism – if it is mechanically damaged or significantly worn, it is advisable to replace it with a new piece in order to ensure good functionality and hygiene during application.
First, rinse the bottle mechanically with a suitable cleaning agent or with warm water and a mild detergent, disassembling the roll-on mechanism into individual parts if the construction allows. Then thoroughly rinse all parts with clean water and allow them to dry completely. Before filling, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface of the packaging and the components using isopropyl alcohol or denatured plant-based ethanol to minimize the risk of microbial contamination of the final product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend placing it in the separate collection stream according to the material composition indicated in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can generally, after removal of any product residues and labeling, be placed in the container designated for glass. Plastic or metal components of the closure and roll-on mechanism should be sorted according to local waste collection rules (for example with plastics or metal packaging, if the system allows). Always follow the pictograms and information in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade website and the waste sorting rules in your municipality.
The simplest way to select suitable packaging is to use the advanced filter after clicking on the relevant packaging category. The advanced filter is located at the top of the category and allows you to sort products according to several parameters, such as neck type and size, overall packaging size, color or material. Thanks to this, you can quickly filter bottles, medicine bottles, jars or other containers that best match your formulation and the way the final product will be used.
