FAQ – Most frequent questions

Is this plastic bottle with sprayer suitable for thicker emulsions or oils?

The sprayer is most suitable for liquid, low-viscosity formulations such as hydrolats, aqueous solutions, light toners and mild water-alcohol blends. Thick emulsions, gels or heavy oils may reduce the quality of spraying or partially clog the dispenser. For atypical formulations we always recommend performing a trial filling on a small sample of the product.

How should I prepare the bottle before first use or refilling?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection we recommend products from our range: IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After complete drying, the packaging is ready for refilling.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I do not want to reuse it?

The method of recycling is always based on the type of material given in the parameter table for the product. Before disposal, we recommend emptying the packaging as much as possible and rinsing out any product residues. Then sort the bottle and sprayer according to the respective material into separate collection in accordance with local waste management rules. If the individual parts can be separated (for example the bottle and the spraying mechanism), it is advisable to sort them separately according to the material stated in the product parameters.

Can I use this bottle successively for different types of products (for example first cosmetics, then a cleaning agent)?

From a technical point of view, repeated use is possible; however, when changing the type of product (for example from cosmetic to cleaning or vice versa) it is necessary to pay increased attention to cleaning. The packaging must be thoroughly rinsed, repeatedly flushed with a suitable medium and subsequently disinfected with alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. From the point of view of safety and hygiene, for professional products it is often recommended to have separate packaging for each type of use.
