Plastic bottle – dropper medicine bottle is a practical and functional packaging intended for precise dosing of liquid preparations. Thanks to the integrated dropper, it enables controlled dripping, which is ideal when filling concentrated solutions, oils, serums or tinctures. The stable plastic material ensures protection of the contents during normal use, while the shape of the medicine bottle sits comfortably in the hand and facilitates application as well as repeated use.
This type of packaging is suitable for various cosmetic and technical formulations where precise drop-by-drop dosing and minimisation of the product’s contact with air are important. The bottle is lightweight, impact-resistant and suitable for home and professional use in the production of cosmetics, aromatherapeutic blends or laboratory solutions.
Individual plastic bottles – medicine bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
When working with plastic packaging made of PET material, it is important to take into account the temperature resistance – PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, there is a risk of deformation of the packaging, and therefore it is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher or for boiling. Gentle hand cleaning at lower temperatures and disinfection with suitable agents is recommended.
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
When selecting the packaging, it is advisable to consider in particular the type of dosing, the required viscosity of the fill and the material composition of the bottle. You will find this information clearly laid out in the product parameters and in the documentation so that you can optimally adapt the packaging to the specific product.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles and appropriate handling are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle, dropper and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and subsequently disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. In this way you ensure minimisation of microbiological risk and better stability of your formulations.
When cleaning a plastic medicine bottle made of PET material, it is important to avoid high temperatures. PET material should not be exposed to hot water, steam or prolonged heat, because there is a risk of deformation of the packaging. The packaging is not suitable for washing in a dishwasher or for boiling. Hand washing with lukewarm water and a mild detergent, thorough rinsing and subsequent disinfection with a suitable alcohol-based preparation is recommended. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature out of direct sunlight.
The dropper medicine bottle is ideal for all products that require precise dosing of a small amount – for example facial serums, concentrated oils, active solutions, perfume bases or aromatherapeutic blends. It is also suitable for test samples of concentrated formulations where it is important to prevent excessive use of the product. Thanks to the dropper, you can easily regulate the number of drops and thus achieve consistent application with each use.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of plastic given in the table of product parameters. Before placing it in the sorted waste, remove any product residues, rinse the packaging and separate the individual parts (bottle, dropper, closure) according to the material marking. Then place them in the appropriate container for sorted waste according to local collection rules. By following these steps, you will support efficient processing of plastic packaging and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
The easiest way to select suitable packaging is to use the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category at the top of the page, you will find the filtering option where you can select parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. By combining these filters, you will quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that matches your formulation and visual requirements. For specific projects it is advisable to first order a smaller quantity to test compatibility with your formulation.
