Glass bottle – matte pharmaceutical bottle with roll-on applicator is intended for precise and hygienic application of liquid preparations directly onto the skin. Thanks to the high-quality glass, it is suitable for packaging various cosmetic formulations that require a stable and inert container. The matte surface of the bottle supports protection of the contents from light and at the same time looks professional and aesthetic within the entire product line.
Glass pharmaceutical bottles with a roll-on system are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems, depending on the parameters selected on the product page. Possible options include screw caps, roll-on inserts or other practical applicators that allow the packaging to be adapted to the specific type of preparation and the required user comfort.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test – especially of sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, presence of strongly aromatic substances, etc.).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the matte glass pharmaceutical bottle with roll-on applicator is generally suitable for most oil-based and water-based cosmetic formulations. Before final filling, we always recommend testing the behaviour of the specific product in the container – in particular the viscosity, stability during longer storage and comfort of application through the roll-on ball. For formulations with a higher alcohol content or with strongly aromatic substances, it is important to also monitor compatibility with the plastic parts of the applicator.
The container can be reused if hygiene rules are observed, ideally always for the same or a similar type of preparation. Before each new filling, the bottle, roll-on insert and closure must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection, we recommend using suitable preparations, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely in order to prevent dilution or alteration of your final formula.
Always fill the bottle at a clean and dry workstation, ideally using a small funnel attachment or a dosing syringe to reduce the risk of contamination and soiling of the neck. After filling, leave a small space at the top of the bottle so that the roll-on ball can seat properly and the container seals well. Then press the ball firmly into the neck according to the recommended procedure and check that no liquid leaks out when the bottle is turned over. Only then fit and tighten the closure.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types specified in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass part should be placed in a container intended for glass. Plastic or metal parts (closure, roll-on mechanism) are usually sorted separately according to local waste sorting rules. Always follow local guidelines for municipal waste and recycling so that disposal of the packaging is as environmentally friendly as possible.
For choosing the right packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging material categories. It is located at the top of the page after clicking on the selected category (for example bottles, pharmaceutical bottles or cosmetic packaging). Using the filter, you can efficiently search for packaging according to several criteria – in particular according to neck type, size, colour and material. By combining these parameters, you will quickly find the packaging that best matches the properties of your product as well as your design requirements.
We recommend storing filled glass roll-on pharmaceutical bottles in a dry, clean and shaded place, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations. Always close the container carefully to minimize the access of air and impurities. For products with a higher content of volatile components (for example perfume or aromatherapeutic blends), it is important to regularly check whether the closure and roll-on mechanism are sealing properly and that evaporation or leakage of the contents is not occurring.
