Glass bottle – pharma bottle with aluminium cap represents a reliable packaging for formulations that require precise closure and stable storage. Thanks to the durable glass and high-quality metal closure, it is suitable for filling various liquid preparations where protection against external influences and minimisation of the content’s contact with the environment are important. The practically sized pharma bottle is ideal for smaller product series, test batches as well as final products intended for the end customer.
From the perspective of chemical resistance and long-term stability, glass is one of the most reliable packaging materials – it does not affect the composition of the stored product and, when properly closed, ensures consistent quality throughout the entire period of use. The aluminium cap supports secure closure and reduces the risk of unintended leakage or evaporation of the contents.
Yes, the glass packaging can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene rules are followed and it is handled appropriately. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 % denatured. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and impact on the stability of the new product batch.
Before first use, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle from any possible dust, rinsing it with a suitable cleaning solution and allowing it to dry thoroughly. It is then advisable to disinfect the inner and outer surfaces of the packaging using alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When handling, use clean tools and work in the cleanest environment possible in order to maintain the quality and safety of the filled formulation.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, recycling according to local waste-sorting rules is recommended. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass part of the bottle is usually placed in the container designated for glass, while the aluminium cap should be sorted as metal packaging depending on the local sorting system. Detailed recommendations on recycling can be found in the product parameter table, and we recommend adapting them to the collection rules in your municipality or city.
For an easier selection, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. With the filter, you can quickly narrow down the offer according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material. In this way, you can choose bottles, pharma bottles, jars or other containers that best match your formulation and the planned dosing method.
Glass pharma bottles are generally a suitable choice even for formulations with a higher content of active substances or essential oils, as glass is a material with high chemical resistance. However, for very concentrated or atypical formulations, we always recommend carrying out your own stability test – filling a smaller amount of product, monitoring its behaviour during storage and checking that there are no changes in the appearance, scent or properties of the contents or any impact on the closure.
Filled glass bottles should be stored in a dry, clean place without direct heat exposure and without sudden temperature fluctuations. Always close the packaging carefully to minimise the product’s contact with air and moisture. For sensitive formulations, we recommend stable room conditions and protection from intense light, which will support long-term quality and reduce the risk of degradation of active substances.
